Your phone has changed what's possible.
Twenty-five years ago I needed a computer, specialist knowledge and a lot of trial and error. Today I can do an extraordinary amount of my business from the phone in my hand.
Digital doesn't remove the work. It changes the potential reach.
A traditional local business is naturally constrained by geography, time and capacity. Digital marketing can allow a message, product or service to reach far more people without you physically being in front of each one.
I've experienced that directly with social media. A simple piece of content can sometimes reach tens or hundreds of thousands of people — occasionally far more.
Not every post does that, of course. But the underlying change is enormous: ordinary people now have access to distribution that would once have required a sizeable advertising budget.
That's one of the reasons I'm so interested in combining digital products and services with modern social-media marketing.
I'm teaching the process I use myself.
My social-media training is based on what I'm doing right now — including the simple faceless content that has generated millions of views for my own accounts.
